By accessing or using the LessonCraft platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using the platform. These terms apply to all users, including students, teachers, administrators, and visitors.
LessonCraft is an AI-powered educational platform designed for K-12 education. Our services include AI tutoring, document processing and classification, course management, learning analytics, and personalized educational experiences. The platform supports students, teachers, and administrators in creating, managing, and engaging with educational content.
LessonCraft provides role-based access with distinct permissions and responsibilities:
- Students — Access courses, interact with AI tutoring, track learning progress, and submit assessments
- Teachers — Create and manage courses, upload educational materials, monitor student progress, and configure AI tutoring personas
- Administrators — Manage users, configure platform settings, oversee security, and access system-wide analytics
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
When using LessonCraft, you agree not to:
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Use the platform to cheat on assessments or misrepresent academic work
- Attempt unauthorized access to any part of the platform or its systems
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the platform without authorization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the platform
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose

LessonCraft uses artificial intelligence to generate tutoring responses, educational explanations, and learning support. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content is intended to supplement, not replace, professional instruction from qualified educators
- AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information
- You should verify important information with authoritative sources
- LessonCraft is not liable for decisions made or actions taken based on AI-generated content
The LessonCraft platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of LessonCraft and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Users retain ownership of content they create and upload to the platform. By uploading content, you grant LessonCraft a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content within the platform for educational purposes.
Educational materials uploaded by teachers remain their intellectual property. LessonCraft does not claim ownership of teacher-created content.
Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.
LessonCraft is committed to compliance with COPPA and FERPA regulations. Data is processed on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure located in the United States. By using the platform, you consent to the processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
The LessonCraft platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LessonCraft's total liability for any claims arising from or related to your use of the platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to LessonCraft in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
Either party may terminate the use of the platform at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
Upon termination, you may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable COPPA/FERPA requirements. We will process deletion requests in a timely manner, subject to any legal retention obligations.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the platform or via email. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
